Come birding with us to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of the donation of Black Lake Preserve to ESLT and World Migratory Bird Day! Black Lake is a rare desert wetland north of Benton in Adobe Valley that is an important stopover site for migratory birds. The alkali lakes and wetlands in Adobe Valley provide a great environment for our feathered friends to rest and refuel during migration. This incredible preserve was donated to ESLT by Michelle Browner 10 years ago and we look forward to celebrating this special occasion with you –birthday cake and all!

Join ESLT and the Eastern Sierra Audubon Society (ESAS) for a morning of birdwatching at a rare sparkling wetland in Adobe Valley – ESLT’s Black Lake Preserve. In honor of World Migratory Bird Day, we will learn all about the migrating species that visit this lake and those that call it home. All birding levels are welcome, and kids are encouraged to attend. Binoculars and bird guides provided if needed. More information is coming soon! To RSVP, please contact Gena Wood, ESLT Community Connections Program Manager at  or 760-873-4554.
