Learn how cover crops can improve your garden year-round at the upcoming Cover Cropping for Soil Health workshop. This workshop will focus on small-scale cover cropping in gardens, but is open to anyone interested in building their soil ecosystem. Join for soil demonstrations, soil health discussions, and resources to help implement sustainable practices in your own system. Free cover crop seeds will be available to participants.

The event will include:
  • A presentation on the principles of soil health and their importance
  • What makes a good cover crop?
  • Nutritional differences between crops in healthy vs unhealthy soil
  • How to access resources to help implement better conservation practices on gardens
  • Planting custom seed mix in demonstration plot and distributing seeds to interested people.
