Last week, Mary, our Development and Outreach Director, and I visited our Crowley Hilltop Preserve, just outside of the town of Crowley Lakes. Last Saturday, May 23, about 20 members and interested folks gathered above Swall Meadows for a hike through the the Wheeler Ridge Round Valley mule deer migration corridor led by our executive director Karen Ferrell-Ingram. We toured around the corridor looking at bugs, plants, wildlife, vistas (and thunderclouds!). On May 16, 2009, locals and visitors gathered at the Benton Hot Springs Ranch conservation easement, just outside of Benton, to have a morning adventure of birding and botanizing. April 19th, Bishop City Park Last Sunday, the Eastern Sierra Land Trust joined Bishop in celebrating Community Connections at the park. Many great local organizations were there, offering advice on Eastern Sierra living, and providing kid activities. Our booth featured the "Living in the Eastern Sierra Quilt." Spring is here, and here at the Eastern Sierra Land Trust, we are proud to announce that we are collaborating with our landlords to put in a pollinator friendly vegetable and flower garden.
