Spring is here, and here at the Eastern Sierra Land Trust, we are proud to announce that we are collaborating with our landlords to put in a pollinator friendly vegetable and flower garden. Dennis Oakeshott (ESLT member with his lovely wife, Jeanne) and his furry friend Migo are the muscle and brains for this project. First to go is the useless bermuda grass lawn, which took some heavy equipment to remove. Next, we moved the shed- quite the team building office staff adventure. What else is in the works? A bird bath, picnic table, butterfly and bee garden, fruit trees, and vegetable beds for staff and members to grow food. Any suggestions for what to plant or how to keep the “devil grass” at bay? Stop by and check it out!
