Eastern Sierra Land Trust today urges all Californians to vote yes on Proposition 4, a critical $10 billion bond measure–the largest ever–that will fund vital projects to protect our communities and natural environment, as well as for land and water conservation across the state. The measure will appear on the November 5th ballot.

This November, vote YES on Prop 4 and invest in clean drinking water, wildfire protection, and vital habitat.

Proposition 4 authorizes $10 billion in state bonds to address urgent environmental challenges facing California, including:

  • Protecting clean drinking water: Funding will support projects to improve water quality and ensure reliable water supplies for communities across the state.
  • Reducing the risk of wildfire: Investments will be made in forest health, wildfire prevention, and community preparedness.
  • Preserving vital wildlife habitat: The measure will fund the conservation of critical habitat for endangered species and the protection of California’s biodiversity.
  • Expanding access to outdoor recreation: Funding will support the creation and improvement of parks, trails, and other outdoor recreational opportunities.

“At ESLT, we’re already laying the groundwork for critical land acquisitions that will safeguard our natural heritage and provide places for Californians to connect with the beauty of our state,” said Sturgill. “With your support for Prop 4, we can make this vision a reality.”

Proposition 4 is a high-value investment in California’s future. It will protect our natural resources, enhance our quality of life, and ensure a healthy environment for generations to come.

Vote YES on Proposition 4 on November 5th.
