Someone once said, “Shoot for the moon and if you miss you will still be among the stars.” On Friday, July 20, from 2-3:30pm, Mammoth High School and Eastern Sierra Land Trust will be hosting a basketball clinic with NBA great Bill Walton. Everyone is invited to watch local basketball stars as they develop and polish their games under the supervision and coaching of Bill Walton. This event is free and open to the public to observe, but on-court participation is limited to selected local high school players. Mammoth Lakes High School is located at 461 Sierra Park Rd., on the corner of Sierra Park Rd. and Meridian Blvd in Mammoth Lakes.
The basketball clinic is part of Eastern Sierra Land Trust’s Land & Legacy weekend July 20-21. Other events with Bill Walton include a fun bike ride around June Lake Loop and a gala dinner hosted by Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. Please contact the ESLT office at (760) 873-4554 or visit www.eslt.org to learn more. Everyone is welcome and all proceeds from the weekend go toward supporting ESLT’s mission of preserving important wild and working lands in the Eastern Sierra.
