Lands & Legacy Green Creek Tour
July 21, 10-2pm
For those attending the Lands & Legacy gala dinner at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area, we invite you to come explore one of the most beautiful and lesser known places in Mono County! ESLT is offering a rare opportunity to tour one of our current conservation projects in the Green Creek area. Participants will learn about land conservation efforts in the area and the unique human and natural history of the region. We will walk along the creek that fed one of the first hydroelectric plants in the West, look for wildlife in the lovely pond nearby, and travel through meadows with stunning panoramic vistas.
Bring food and water, binoculars, and sun protection. We will be walking on and off trail on moderately rough terrain and recommend wearing sturdy shoes.
Registration is required, to sign up contact Victoria at 760-873-4554 or email by Wed. July 18th. This hike is free to to those attending the Lands & Legacy Dinner the same evening at Mammoth Mountain Ski Area. Purchase tickets for the dinner online or by calling the ESLT office. Space is limited so sign up soon!
We look forward to sharing this wonderful place with you!
