Looking for a fun and family-friendly way to get out in nature? Join us for a free morning of creative fun at Karen’s Preserve (south of Crowley Lake) on August 10th from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Bring your children, grandchildren, or other little loved ones and have a blast getting creative in nature.

At Crayons & Paint there will be fun educational games about local wildlife, native plants, animal tracks, and more. We will work on unique nature-inspired art projects including clay leaf prints while watching a live painting demo with local artist Lynn Marit Peterson.

There will be an optional bring-your-own picnic lunch with a special treat provided by ESLT and all participants will leave with an activity book to keep the outdoor fun going all summer long. Children ages 5 – 12 and their families are welcome.

Community members without children are encouraged to join Crayons & Paint as a volunteer, where they can help organize and run activities alongside other ESLT volunteers.

Attendance at this event is limited. For more information and to RSVP please contact Marie at or call (760) 873 – 4554.
