This helps sage-grouse\, pronghorn\, and mule deer migrate safely. \nBoth workdays are family friendly\, and all are invited to lend a hand. DESCRIPTION:Calling all volunteers! Come join our July 25th stewardship day\, hosted by Eastern Sierra Land Trust and Mono County at Conway and Mattly Ranches. We will focus on removing a non-native species called Wooly Mullein\, especially near the aquaculture zone\, along irrigation ditches\, and throughout a wildlife enhancement area. \nWe will be walking ditches and using shovels\, rakes\, and loppers to remove plants from the ground. Removing non-native species early in the growing season prevents those plants from going to seed\, thus stopping their spread.\n \nPlease remember to bring boots\, hats to protect from sun and bugs\, gloves for those with soft hands\, lots of water\, and your own tools if you would like to use them. Shared tools will also be available. \nTo volunteer or find out more\, contact Marie at or call (760) 873 – 4554.
