DESCRIPTION:The Bishop Paiute Tribe Food Sovereignty Program\, UC Master Gardeners of Inyo and Mono Counties\, and Eastern Sierra Land Trust invite you to join us for a Seed Swap and Seed Starting Workshop. Event is free and open to the public. \n \n  \nWe are excited to share seeds with you! If you don’t have seeds to share\, that’s okay! You do not need to sign up; you can still attend and receive seeds. \nPlease sign up if you plan to bring seeds to share. Please arrive at 9:30am with your seeds so we have time to get organized. \nWe welcome seeds from vegetables\, flowers\, culinary plants\, medicinal plant\, native plants\, and more! We will be following seed swap guidelines adapted from the Seed Savers Exchange. \nAllowed \n\nOpen-pollinated seeds.\nLocally saved seeds.\nExcess-bought seeds.\nSeeds brought back from another region or country.\nExcess seeds donated by a seed company\n\nProhibited \n\nSeeds or plants that are considered illegal\, either federally in the United States of America or the state of the event.\nGenetically engineered plants\, F1 hybrids\, poisonous\, noxious\, or controlled seeds\, and plants.\nPatented varieties. Although it is legal for gardeners to grow and save patented varieties\, it is illegal to distribute them. Refer to the USDA website for a list of patented varieties.\nUnknown seed from volunteer plants.\n\nSign Up\n
